Role

Solution Architect – Java, Cloud, Microservices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead the technical architecture for scalable, secure, and robust enterprise applications.
  • Spearhead the migration from legacy systems to microservices architecture using Spring Boot.
  • Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity management via Azure Active Directory.
  • Define cloud-native solutions and infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
  • Develop and support event-driven architectures using Kafka.
  • Guide application modernization and platform engineering efforts.
  • Serve as a thought leader in technical strategy and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to design business-driven technical solutions

  • Java
  • Spring Boot (Microservices architecture)
  • J2EE Architecture
  • Cloud: Azure
  • Kafka
  • DB2 (experience preferred; migrating to PostgreSQL)
  • Vaadin (Java front-end framework)
  • React/Angular
  • Eclipse
  • Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines)

Soft Skills:

  • Fluency in German and English – Required for technical and client communication
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to engage with customers at both technical and business levels
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing solution design
  • Willingness to travel across Germany as needed

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in software development architecture or as a lead developer
  • Background in designing and implementing internal enterprise applications
  • History of successful legacy system modernization and cloud migration projects
