, data protection is not just an obligation – it is a commitment. We are looking for a dedicated professional for the role of
Data Protection Officer
to guide us in ensuring compliance with GDPR and
Romanian privacy laws
. Your focus will be on data privacy matters and you will cover the diverse requirements of our business, as well as support our internal teams.

You are ultimately responsible for protecting the personal data of our users, clients, employees and other third parties.

We'll trust you to:

  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, Romanian data protection law and other relevant industry standards
  • Draft, implement and maintain internal data protection policies, procedures and records of processing activities
  • Monitor and audit internal processes to ensure ongoing compliance with data privacy obligations
  • Serve as the main contact point with ANSPDCP and other regulatory authorities
  • Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory developments in the EU and Romania regarding data protection
  • Advise and support internal stakeholders on Data Protection Impact Assessments and risk mitigation
  • Support incident management and data breach investigations, ensuring timely notification and remediation

What you'll bring:

  • 2-5 years of data privacy legal and/or compliance experience at a financial and audit consultancy company
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities in multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate across functions
  • Subject matter expertise in data privacy laws, regulations and industry standards
  • High level of integrity and a passion for data protection and privacy
  • Experience responding to regulator and customer inquiries
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance or a related field
  • DPO certification
  • Excellent command of English (German would be a plus)
