About the role:

Interdiligence is seeking a Financial Modelling Specialist to support our M&A and Business Development operations across multiple industries and geographies. In this role, you will design and implement robust financial models to assess investment opportunities, partnership structures, and acquisition scenarios. Your work will provide the analytical foundation for strategic decision-making, enabling our clients and internal teams to evaluate risks, returns, and long-term business value.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional passionate about translating complex business data into actionable insights, combining financial acumen with strategic thinking.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial models for M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic business assessments.
  • Conduct valuation analyses (DCF, precedent transactions, comparables, sensitivity scenarios) to support investment and partnership decisions.
  • Work closely with senior management, analysts, and business development teams to model financial performance under various strategic scenarios (optimistic, conservative, and baseline).
  • Structure cash flow, ROI, and CAPEX/OPEX simulations, integrating market and operational data.
  • Support due diligence processes by validating financial assumptions, identifying risks, and stress-testing projections.
  • Prepare clear financial presentations, dashboards, and reports to communicate insights to both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Assist in the design of deal structures, financing options, and return optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with the strategy and intelligence units to integrate business intelligence and risk factors into financial frameworks.
What we're looking for:
  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration; a Master's degree or CFA qualification is an advantage.
  • 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, M&A advisory, or strategic consulting.
  • Advanced skills in Excel-based financial modelling; proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and experience with valuation software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance principles, valuation methodologies, and capital structuring.
  • Analytical rigor combined with the ability to translate financial insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Romanian proficiency is an asset.
  • Self-driven and structured mindset, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Attention to confidentiality when handling sensitive financial data.
