Why this role exists

We're expanding our portfolio of software products in the Atlassian ecosystem and beyond and need an experienced product leader to own new cloud apps from concept to scale. You'll work hand-in-hand with an agile engineering team in India, ensuring every release delights users with a friction-free first-run experience plus clear and immediate time-to-value.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define vision, north-star metrics, and outcome-based roadmaps for PLG SaaS / Cloud apps.
  • Use data, customer feedback, and competitive insights to prioritize high-leverage bets.
  • Breakdown work into 2-3 week sprints with CI/CD based delivery.

Go-to-Market (PLG)

  • Design self-serve onboarding, pricing tiers, and in-product growth loops.
  • Partner with Growth, Marketing, and Support to optimize activation, conversion, and expansion funnels.

Delivery Leadership

  • Serve as Product Owner for two Scrum squads; write crisp epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Quarterly Business Reviews.

Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Coach India-based engineers and designers on lean discovery, UX simplification, and outcome thinking.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, rapid experimentation, and psychological safety.

Atlassian Marketplace Expertise

  • Ensure compliance with Atlassian Marketplace and Forge application frameworks and requirements. (Runs on Atlassian)
  • Build SME-based relationships with Atlassian solution partners and community champions.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Instrument product analytics (e.g., Amplitude, GA4) to track feature adoption.
  • Lead A/B tests to iterate on onboarding flows, upselling, and pricing.

What makes you a great fit

  • 8+ years end-to-end product management or product owner experience for commercial SaaS / Cloud products.
  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling product-led-growth (PLG) offerings (activation, monetization, retention).
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira Software, Confluence, JSM) and the Atlassian Marketplace ecosystem.

    Bonus points for recent work at an Atlassian Marketplace Partner building Forge apps.
  • Hands-on Agile/Scrum practitioner who writes clear user stories and drives velocity without sacrificing quality. Scrum Master experience and certification required.
  • Proven track record mentoring remote software developers; comfortable working across multi-cultural teams and time zones.
  • Data-driven. Comfortable with product analytics, cohort funnels, and SQL or BI tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; able to convey complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • This role requires that the employee be legally authorized to work in Romania and be based in Romania with reliable high-speed internet.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 2–3 times per year for team summits or Atlassian events. Travel expenses covered by the company.

Nice-to-have

  • Atlassian certifications (ACP-620 or similar) or Scrum Alliance / PSPO credentials.
  • Familiarity with growth frameworks (HEART, Pirate Metrics) and experimentation platforms (Split, LaunchDarkly).
