PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Our customer is a world-leading provider of transport solutions, driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system and creating a world of mobility that is better for business, society, and the environment.

The team that you will be part of collects data for all connected vehicles and aggregates it so that drivers can evaluate their own driving behaviors and skills.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join our team and help design and build cutting-edge transport solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions for transport applications.
• Enhance and maintain existing Python-based functionality according to business priorities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide expert technical guidance.
• Proactively raise questions when requirements are unclear; take on Story Lead or Epic Lead roles when they are well-defined.
• Actively participate in refinement sessions, code reviews, design discussions, and requirement clarification; push back when requirements are not ready for development.
• Coordinate with other teams when work dependencies arise.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and adopt innovative practices to improve our solutions.

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture using AWS solutions.
• Familiarity with Kafka.
• Proven experience designing and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with event-driven and asynchronous communication systems.
• Ability to make sound architecture decisions and address associated challenges.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript are a plus).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong engineering instincts and a solid understanding of computer science principles.
• Collaborative team player with clear, assertive communication.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
