Role Purpose:

The Warehouse Manager has responsibility to organize, lead & control warehouse activities and 3PL partners, (3rd Party Logistics), in Ambient and Chilled Warehouses, to offer solutions in improving service to customers at an optimum cost.

Key Responsabilities:

  • Ensures plans in own area enhance SCS performance, human and other resources trade-off decisions support in the achievement of the plans.
  • Efficient allocation of resources as per business requirements, appraisals, etc.
  • Ensures proper design, implementation and change management of projects related to his/her area of responsibility.
  • Ensures implementation and monitors all warehouse processes including 3PLs and pallet management, according to the defined company's objectives and the assigned budget.
  • Ensures BP commitments on budget / headcount are delivered supporting long-term sustainability.
  • Guarantees the achievement of agreed service level (the right products, in the right quantity, at the right time, in the right place) according to the defined company's objectives and the assigned budget.
  • Ensures implementation and diffusion of the Quality, Health & Safety, and Environment regulations from the whole Warehouse team, in compliance with the laws in force and the internal standards.
  • Ensures proper cost control through cost-comparison of own- and foreign solution.
  • Coaches team members and ensures their development. Provides timely feedback on performance.
  • Guarantees proper training of the team to assure business continuity and proper succession plan.
  • Executes SC action plan and provide new ideas to improve and secure Employee Engagement.
  • Establishes a working environment with clear roles, accountabilities and objectives for all.
  • Addresses poor performance quickly and reward exceptional performance.
  • Builds up good relationships with all departments within the site, 3PL contractors & customers. Ensures customer service culture is build and sustained across all team.
  • Co-operates with Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, Sustainability, as well as other SCS departments and rest of sites, to support the functional and country targets.
  • Participates PA&C initiatives related to the local community and contributes to company reputation.
  • Ensures the identification and implementation of best practices for Warehouse through a constant benchmarking activity, identifies possible gaps and takes consequently corrective actions, according to the assigned budget and the company objectives.
  • Continuously improves processes and exploits growth opportunities that will maximize results and optimize cost.
  • Evaluates and promotes innovation ideas of team members and supports their implementation.

Essential Criteria:

  • University degree, preferably technical background (Postgraduate studies in Logistics will be appreciated),
  • Min. 3 years of managerial experience, including leadership experience, (Preferably in FMCG/Retail industry),
  • Fluency in English
  • Customer Oriented & Customer Centric mentality,
  • Ability to build effective teams and empower people,
  • Experience in project and change management,
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Coaching direct reports and mentoring others,
  • Ability to set standards for management performance,
  • Good knowledge of cost controlling and financial understanding,
  • Open-minded and willing to experiment and try new things,
  • SAP & BW knowledge.
