Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced
SAP Technical Architect
to design, plan, and lead complex SAP migration initiatives, including transitions to
SAP S/4HANA
, HANA database, and cloud-based SAP environments. This senior role is responsible for defining migration strategies, validating end-to-end technical architectures, and ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives. The architect will act as a key technical authority, guiding both stakeholders and project teams throughout all phases of the migration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the overall SAP migration strategy, including brownfield conversions, greenfield implementations, or selective data transition approaches.
- Develop a detailed SAP application and infrastructure migration roadmap, ensuring architectural consistency and alignment with SAP best practices.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of new SAP landscapes, including S/4HANA and HANA database migrations, as well as cloud platform transitions.
- Oversee data migration, including extraction, transformation, loading, and reconciliation, using tools such as SUM/DMO, SAP SLT, and other migration utilities.
- Act as the primary technical design authority, advising clients, leading workshops, and guiding technical teams during execution.
- Ensure the quality and completeness of project deliverables, track progress against key milestones, and assess readiness for go-live.
- Support integration activities and ensure alignment with tools such as SAP BTP, SAP PI/PO, and SAP CPI.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Background in SAP technical roles such as SAP Basis Administrator or SAP ABAP Developer.
- Deep expertise in SAP migration methodologies, especially brownfield system conversion; experience with selective data transition is a plus.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, HANA database, and SAP technical architecture.
- Hands-on experience with SAP migration tools, cutover planning, and data migration techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with SAP integration tools (SAP BTP, PI/PO, CPI).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- 10+ years of experience in SAP engagements, ideally with exposure to large-scale transformation programs.
