Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated
European Funds Consultant – Budgeting & Financial Planning
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing project budgets, ensuring financial compliance, and supporting clients throughout the funding lifecycle — from concept to successful reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and structure project budgets for grant applications under national and EU funding programs (e.g. PNRR, POR, Horizon Europe, Interreg, etc.)
  • Conduct financial feasibility analyses and ensure alignment with program guidelines and eligibility rules
  • Support beneficiaries in project implementation, financial reporting, and payment requests
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical experts to ensure coherence between financial and technical project components
  • Provide advisory services on cost optimization, financial risk management, and compliance

Requirements

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in EU-funded project consultancy, financial management, or grant administration
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and cost eligibility principles under EU funding frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and budgeting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and project budgeting tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Romanian
