Data Engineer responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, optimize data pipelines on Databricks for developing different data products
  • Collaborate with data analysts, governance, and visualization teams to deliver curated and trusted datasets
  • Design and maintain data models that ensure data quality, integrity, and scalability
  • Ensure data lineage and quality in line with data governance tools (e.g. Atacama) and practices
  • Manage deployments using Airflow, GitHub.
  • Production support and fixing for own developed data products in line with agreed SLAs
  • Collaborate with data platform engineering team in order to align on development standards (versioning, orchestration, modeling, performance, others)
  • Collaborate with other reporting units and consumers in order to provide clarifications on own data products

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, similar field of study or relevant working experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or ETL/ELT development.
  • Strong SQL skills; knowledge of Python/PySpark is a plus, not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with DataBricks, snowflake or other cloud-based DWH solutions.
  • Experience with on-prem tools ( Oracle, ODI, others) is a strong advantage during the transition to cloud.
  • Fast learner, able to master the functionalities and applications of new technologies.
  • Previous experience in banking, financial services, or regulatory reporting is a plus.
