We are looking for a talented Lead PHP Full-Stack Developer to work closely with our productowners to help shape and build the future of our Frontend ecosystem for a global online sportsbetting operator. You will need strong frontend skills, experience on a modern componentframework like React or Vue, and expertise on a back-end framework like Symfony (preferably)or Laravel.

More importantly, you will need to be a strong problem solver who loves to learn —we're not experts in everything and we don't expect you to be either. You know good systems'design when you see it and you know when and how to improve it. Details matter to you, and ifsomething is off — you will go the extra mile to figure out why.

What you'll be getting up to: 
  • Lead a cross functional team of software and QA engineers.
  • Designing and implementing new features and solutions.
  • Working with key business stakeholders to understand the problems that need to be addressed.
  • Performing analysis of current programs including performance diagnosis and troubleshooting of issues.
  • Provide assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems.
  • Refine system requirements and break them down into workable tasks.
  • Prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Apply effective and clear communication with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
  • Writing and improving the documentation for the company products and tools.
  • Maintaining our products and assisting in troubleshooting production incidents.
  • Helping customer support answer customer questions.
Here are a few recent and inflight projects/initiatives of the team:
  • Overhauling our product for improved UX.
  • Integration with the organization's next generation payments backend systems.
  • Integrate new payment methods and payment providers and speed up said integrations with automation/configuration improvements
  • Provide self-help tools to the players for them to complete their transactions and unblock stuck transactions.
  • Provide the tools to Customer Support to process quickly and efficiently follow-ups by players as to their transactions
Good command of the following technologies:
  • JavaScript, React, PHP, Git, Linux, Bash, REST, Docker usage, OOP
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field.
  • For a lead position, candidates are expected to have over 8 years of relevant  experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or technical management role.
  • Excellent command of the English language - written & spoken.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Highly organised with a strong ability to prioritise across multiple projects.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and tools like Jira.
