Engineer Analysis Sustaining
to join our management team.

About our open position:

Managing the engineering activities for projects in the Sustaining phase after the Non-Recurring phase has ended.

Knowledge transfer and control: Checking dispositions (final solution) and concessions (additional document describing the deviation from the original design).

Engineering definition: Define an engineering definition for solutions of products and/or processes which are non compliant to their specifications. As part of the engineering definition, defining practical repair models and related written proof that the repaired product is airworthy, complying to all functional, certification demands with regards to strength, fatigue life and stiffness.

A typical day might include the following:

  • Development of technical solutions for products that don't comply to product definitions, within situations of the production process as well as during the operations phase;
  • Analysis of the chosen solutions, if required with the relevant functional discipline, to assure the chosen solutions comply to strength, functional and airworthy specific demands;
  • Preventively initiate and supervise actions to improve the process and/or product with relevant internal parties (product specialists, quality, developer);
  • Analyze, in close consultation with customer, significant damages that occur during the operation phase, investigate and document repair solutions in the form of engineering drafts and justifying stress analysis.

You are good at:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, along with at least 4 years of experience as a structural engineer.
  • Proficiency in metallic analysis methodologies.
  • Strong background in classical hand calculation methods and the use of industry-standard reference materials.
  • Experience with Abaqus or a similar finite element analysis software.
  • Hands-on on Catia or other CAD software.
  • Knowledge of repair methodologies is a plus
  • English (spoken/written)
