As a
Cloud Platform Engineer (FinOps)
, you will play a key role in developing cloud financial governance across AWS and Azure. You will implement FinOps practices, ensure financial transparency for stakeholders, and build automation and reporting capabilities that support cost-efficient cloud operations. Working within a global cloud services organization, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and financially optimized cloud platforms.

Responsibilities


• Develop and implement FinOps practices and tooling across AWS and Azure landing zones


• Build dashboards and reports for full cost visibility and financial transparency


• Automate financial operations processes such as budget alerts, anomaly detection, and chargeback mechanisms


• Analyze cloud consumption patterns and recommend cost optimization strategies


• Implement cost-allocation strategies and financial controls


• Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related service requests, issues, and work orders


• Create and maintain documentation, operational runbooks, and process guides

Qualifications


• Academic degree in computer science or a related technical field


• Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud platform engineering with a focus on FinOps and cost optimization


• Strong knowledge of FinOps principles, cloud cost management, and AWS/Azure billing processes


• Experience with Databricks, ETL workflows, Power BI, and financial data analysis in cloud environments


• Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Python) for financial reporting and operational tasks


• Basic understanding of financial controlling and budgeting in tech organizations


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to design workflows around complex financial datasets


• Professional working proficiency in English
