The role
As a Planning Engineer, you will play a vital role in the management of complex shipbuilding projects. You will be responsible for planning and monitoring production activities, ensuring that all project phases are clearly defined, aligned, and completed on time.
This role involves close collaboration with project managers, internal departments, and external partners to maintain clear visibility of project progress, quickly identifying any deviations and proposing effective solutions.

Key accountabilities
- Create and regularly update detailed ship construction schedules using Primavera P6 and the shipyard's ERP system.
- Monitor project progress and provide accurate, timely reports to management.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Design, Production, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Analyze resource usage and identify deviations from the plan, proposing corrective actions.
- Support project teams by providing reliable information on production, procurement, and delivery milestones.
- Develop scenarios and planning reports for current and future projects.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
Skills & experience
- University degree in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or a related technical field.
- Experience in planning and monitoring production processes, ideally within shipbuilding or other complex industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and ERP systems.
- Good understanding of shipbuilding processes, production flow, and planning strategies.
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage complex data.
- Intermediate level of English, written and spoken.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
- Flexibility and problem-solving orientation, with the ability to adapt to changes.
