What you'll do

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to employees via ticketing system, email, chat, and phone.
• Install, configure, maintain employee hardware like laptops and peripherals, assist with software installation, license tracking and allocations.
• Manage the full user lifecycle, including account creation, access rights (Active Directory, email, VPN), hardware handover for onboarding/offboarding and reallocation.
• Assist in the administration, optimization, security hardening of on-premises or cloud infrastructure and participate in system upgrade projects.
• Provide operational support for deployed systems (e.g. servers, databases, proxies, VPN, logging, observability etc.).
• Support the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and routine operational tasks using scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code principles (Terraform).
• Monitor system and application performance to ensure reliability and participate in root cause analysis for infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Integrate automated security tools and promote IT security best practices such as patching, antivirus, and phishing awareness.
• Manage IT equipment inventory, document solutions in the knowledge base, and collaborate with development teams to support an agile lifecycle

What you need to be successful

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and/or 1–2 years of experience in IT infrastructure, support, helpdesk, or a similar role; internship and entry-level experience are welcome.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments and familiarity with productivity tools like Office 365.
• A solid understanding of networking basics (IP, DHCP, VLANs, DNS, VPN, Firewalls).
• Foundational knowledge of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies, coupled with familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a desire to fix issues and ensure successful delivery.
• Excellent communication with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• A passionate and proactive approach to learning, with a strong desire to grow your skills in IT support, infrastructure, cloud technologies, automation, and cybersecurity
• Experience with user management in Active Directory or Azure AD.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems like Jira, ServiceNow, Frappe Helpdesk.
• A conceptual understanding of core DevOps technologies, including containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud computing.
• Scripting basics (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
