At Medicover, we believe that every decision we take has an impact on the people we care for. As a Finance Controller, you will play a key role in providing accurate financial insights that support both our management team and shareholders in making the right strategic decisions.

Your Mission

To collect, verify, and consolidate financial information, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Romanian financial regulations. You will contribute directly to building budgets, analysing costs, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

What you will do

  • Prepare management, shareholder, and employee reports in line with IFRS and local legislation
  • Develop operational and financial internal reports, tailored to management needs
  • Monitor accounting and financial regulations, ensuring compliance at all times
  • Coordinate data processing for internal and Group reporting systems
  • Support the monthly closing process and deliver consolidated financial statements
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and financial planning
  • Analyse current expenses vs. budget and provide variance explanations
  • Collaborate closely with local departments and Group finance teams
  • Ensure adherence to internal and Group procedures
  • Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve processes
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analyses and insights for management decisions

What we are looking for

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in financial controlling, ideally in healthcare or services
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Romanian financial legislation
  • Solid experience in preparing financial reports and budgets
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills (experience with ERP systems is an advantage)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
