Requirements
Join our team if you:

  • You have a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or other related fields; Tax Advisor

certified (nice to have);

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in the Romanian VAT practice (consulting or industry experience);
  • Have a strong computer skill including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point); fluency in English;
  • Excellent communication across cultures and within a virtual working environment;
  • Like to work in a young dynamic environment, you are a real team player, collaborative and create a positive team environment;
  • Have experience in coordinating junior colleagues;
  • Have great organization skills, analytical skills and you always check the details.

Responsibilities
Your future role:

As a Senior VAT Consultant In Our Team, You Will Have The Opportunity To Be Involved In Consulting And Compliance Projects With Various Complexities, Implying

  • Preparation of VAT consulting projects for local and non-resident clients; for those projects, you will need to have a good knowledge

of the Romanian Fiscal Code, EU VAT legislation and EU VAT case law;

  • Involvement in tax audits covering the VAT area (e.g., managing the correspondence with the tax authorities, preparation of various

reconciliations, preparation of points of view and tax challenges);

  • Involvement in tax reviews and tax due diligence projects;
  • Monitoring the indirect tax compliance work for local and non-resident clients (e.g., review of the work performed by the Junior Tax

Consultant, correspondence with the client, correspondence with authorities, as needed by the assignment);

  • Identify issues and opportunities to continuously improve the automation of the VAT compliance process;
  • Supervise and coach junior team members, ensure the continuous development of their technical skills;
  • Good coordination with other seniors from the team;
  • Actively participate to the technical meeting, training and coaching sessions to ensure continuous development of your technical

knowledge and of the junior staff;

  • Actively collaborate with people from other lines of business, with the aim to provide integrated client input and expand knowledge.
