About the Role

Our client is a global industrial leader operating in over 100 countries, known for its advanced manufacturing footprint and commitment to driving digital innovation across its factories and supply chain. They are currently undergoing one of the most significant ERP and operational technology transformations in their industry to modernize systems, improve efficiency, and enable next-generation operations.

We are looking Regional Technical Process Owner (rTPO) to support a major, multi-year digital transformation program modernizing core ERP, manufacturing, and operational technologies across Europe. This role is central to ensuring technical consistency, smooth deployment, and high-quality integration as the organization transitions to SAP S/4HANA and complementary Best-of-Breed (BoB) applications.

The rTPO acts as a key technical bridge between Business Process Owners, Functional Experts, and Digital implementation teams—shaping solutions, guiding deployments, and ensuring the stability of both new and legacy systems throughout the transformation journey.

Location: Hybrid model based in Budapest, Hungary (first 100% onsite, later 2-3 days/week)

Contract: Long-term contract (no benefits, medical, PTO...)

Mandatory experience:

  • SAP WM/MM (Storage Location)
  • SAP Transportation Logistics

Responsibilities

  • Serve as regional expert for SAP WM/MM processes: inbound/outbound logistics, stock management, MIGO/IM, physical inventory, putaway/picking strategies, and warehouse operations.
  • Align warehouse processes with global S/4 templates and logistics strategy.
  • Support Fit-to-Template workshops, map warehouse flows, and capture functional requirements.
  • Contribute to configuration decisions for storage locations, warehouse structure, strategies, and logistics execution.
  • Validate integration with PP, QM, SD, Finance, and external warehouse/logistics tools.
  • Support deployment and integration of Best-of-Breed warehouse applications (MES, WMS, scanners, automation systems).
  • Participate in testing (E2E logistics), data cleansing, and migration of warehouse/master data.
  • Support go-live readiness, cutover planning (inventory count, stock migration), and issue resolution.
  • Train warehouse Key Users and support operational change management.
  • Ensure stability of legacy warehouse systems during transition.

Requirements

Mandatory Functional Expertise

  • SAP WM/MM (Storage Location)
  • SAP Transportation Logistics

Technical & Professional Requirements

  • Hands-on SAP WM and/or MM expertise (IM, warehouse processes, logistics execution).
  • Experience with warehouse tools (RF scanners, WMS interfaces) or BoB logistics systems.
  • Strong understanding of logistics flows and integration to PP/QM/SD.
  • Previous S/4 or warehouse transformation experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with stock migrations, physical inventory processes, and data mapping.
