We are seeking an experienced Coating Inspector to oversee pipeline field joint coating operations and ensure quality compliance during offshore pipelay on a laybarge.Monitor and supervise field joint coating application (e.g., FBE, 3LPE, heat-shrink sleeves, PU foam, etc.) on the laybarge.

Verify surface preparation, environmental conditions, and coating parameters.

Conduct holiday detection, adhesion testing, and thickness measurement as per the ITP.

Ensure traceability of coating materials and proper handling/storage onboard.

Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports and submit daily progress updates.

Requirements
  • 10-15 years' coating inspection experience in offshore pipeline projects.
  • 10 years' experience as Client representative
  • Certification in coating inspection – e.g., NACE Level 2 / FROSIO Level III or equivalent but minimum Level 2.
  • Familiarity with offshore field joint coating systems and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of coating standards (ISO, DNV, NORSOK).
  • Offshore survival and medical certification (valid BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, OGUK or equivalent).
