Billing Specialist

As a Billing Specialist, you will navigate the intricate terrain of our billing processes. Your responsibilities will include generating claims, resolving billing inquiries, and delivering exceptional customer support. This role specifically caters to the medical insurance sector, serving customers located in the United States of America.

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday: 15:00 – 00:00, Friday: 16:00 – 22:00
Salary Range: 3000 – 4000 RON net monthly, based on skills and experience
Reporting to: Billing Manager

Main responsibilities:

gathering billing data from our system and generating claims
addressing billing inquiries through various channels such as calls, emails, and SMS
investigating bill discrepancies, conducting thorough analyses to identify root causes and implementing corrective actions
engaging with insurance companies to resolve claim-related issues
creating and negotiating customized payment plans for customers with outstanding balances
handling pre-collection calls to recover payments from customers who are responsible for out-of-pocket expenses

Key competencies:

knowledge of basic billing concepts
minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a contact center
data management skills with experience in Excel / Google Sheets
hands-on experience with CRMs such as HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive
excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written – mandatory

Nice to have:

knowledge of the United States medical insurance industry
