Senior Software Developer

About The Role

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer or an experienced developer ready to step into a senior role. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in full-stack web development, working primarily on applications built with Python and or similar technologies.
This position involves end-to-end development, designing features from detailed specifications, and providing mentorship to junior engineers. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical direction and delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions. In this role, you'll have the chance to influence key architectural decisions and contribute to products that drive significant business impact, while advancing your own technical and leadership skills.

• Build and maintain scalable web applications using Python and

• Design features and systems based on product specifications.

• Ensure high standards of software architecture and code quality.

• Mentor junior engineers and support their growth.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
How we work

• Python FastAPI for backend

• ReactJS/NextJS for frontend

• Cloud-native in AWS using infrastructure as code (terraform, ansible, docker)

• Team split into cross-functional squads

• Agile – with different methodologies based on squad's requirements

• Currently our team is transitioning towards development using Test-Driven Development

About You 

• Excellent English language skills

• Proven experience in full-stack web development – Python and NextJS/ReactJS preferred but we'll consider candidates with experience in similar languages/libraries

• Strong understanding of software design principles, system architecture, automated testing and design patterns.

• Demonstrable experience in designing and delivering complex features from scratch.

• Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL)

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.

Bonus to have

• Experience in pair programming and test-driven development

• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (terraform, ansible)

• Experience of cloud platforms.
