Who We Are
By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years' timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Define and execute the strategy for ITSM tooling, monitoring platforms, and event management processes.
  • Oversee the implementation, integration, and optimization of tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, and other observability solutions.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant configuration management through a well-maintained CMDB.
  • Lead the development of monitoring dashboards, alerting frameworks, and automated remediation workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure visibility into system health, performance, and service availability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tool efficiency, reduce noise, and improve incident response times.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development for your team members.
  • Report on key metrics, trends, and risks to senior stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making.

What You'll Bring Along

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations, or service management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, especially Event, Incident, Change, and Configuration Management.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise tooling platforms such as Splunk, ServiceNow, Dynatrace, Prometheus, or similar.
  • Expertise in monitoring strategy, observability frameworks, and event correlation.
  • Experience managing CMDBs and ensuring data integrity across configuration items.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate technical insights into business value and drive cross-team collaboration.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Splunk, ServiceNow) are a plus.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
