About the Role:

Throne Solutions is seeking a skilled and analytical Cyber Threat Analyst to join our cybersecurity operations team in Bucharest. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and analyzing security incidents using leading SIEM platforms. You will play a key role in maintaining the security posture of enterprise environments through proactive threat detection and response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts from
    SIEM tools
    such as
    Splunk
    ,
    Microsoft Sentinel
    , or
    AlienVault
    .
  • Identify and respond to potential
    malware
    ,
    phishing
    , and
    intrusion
    activities.
  • Investigate and validate security incidents, escalating as required to higher-level analysts.
  • Collaborate with incident response teams to contain and remediate threats.
  • Maintain and fine-tune SIEM rules, dashboards, and correlation logic to improve detection accuracy.
  • Generate reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
  • Support continuous improvement of monitoring processes, runbooks, and detection capabilities.
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and security best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in
    security monitoring, SOC operations
    , or
    incident response
    .
  • Hands-on experience with one or more SIEM platforms (
    Splunk
    ,
    Sentinel
    ,
    AlienVault
    , etc.).
  • Strong understanding of
    network protocols
    ,
    attack vectors
    , and
    threat actor tactics (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
    .
  • Proficiency in analyzing logs and identifying security anomalies.
  • Familiarity with
    endpoint protection
    ,
    IDS/IPS
    , and
    firewall
    logs.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills.

Certifications (Required – at least one):

  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP – Level 3 preferred)
