Advanced Software Engineer .NET, Game Creation
Role
This exciting role offers the opportunity to build and enhance enterprise-scale software applications used to create games and to collaborate with game teams across the entire company on popular titles including FC, Apex, Madden, Battlefield, NHL, Skate, and more. Reporting to a Senior Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Contribute to the architecture, design, and development of new product features and enhancements for game development tools
  • Work closely with engineering and product leads to gather requirements from teams across EA, including Frostbite and EA Access
  • Evaluate build vs. buy options and participate in the integration of open-source solutions
  • Implement and maintain testing strategies, deployment processes, and production readiness for new and existing features
  • Participate in code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to design discussions
  • Support the maintenance and stability of applications in production environments
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and collaborate on solutions that minimize manual support
  • After a few months of onboarding and gaining product understanding, participate in a production support rotation, typically once every 3–5 weeks, to help ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing enterprise-level solutions
  • 4+ years of experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce), including branching and merging strategies
  • 4+ years of experience with SDLC/ALM tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Jenkins)
  • 4+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Azure Pipelines, Jenkins)
  • 4+ years of experience with .NET web development: .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML5+, CSS3+, JavaScript, REST APIs, jQuery, WCF
  • 4+ years of experience in database development
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS; certification preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience with JavaScript UI frameworks such as Angular, React, , or Telerik/Kendo
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience

Nice To Have

  • Familiarity with automation tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet)
  • Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Interest or exposure to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Cloud Certifications in Azure (preferred) or AWS.
