What you'll be doing
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of platform experts specialising in Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, ServiceBus, SOA, Tuxedo, and LAMP stack technologies.
- Define and execute the platform strategy to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure services.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of platform services, ensuring system reliability, incident resolution, and performance optimisation.
- Coordinate platform-related activities within infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, resource alignment, and quality outcomes.
- Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and procedures for platform configuration, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders to align platform capabilities with project and organisational goals.
- Monitor and manage platform capacity, performance, and lifecycle, including upgrades and decommissioning.
- Ensure platform compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
What you'll bring along
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure projects
- Deep understanding of enterprise platforms including Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, ServiceBus, SOA, Tuxedo, and LAMP stack environments.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams in complex, multi-platform IT infrastructure environments.
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to align platform operations with broader IT and business strategies.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices, DevOps principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Relevant certifications in platform technologies (e.g., Oracle, IBM), IT service management (e.g., ITIL), or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
