Corporate Tax Manager

We are seeking a driven
Tax Manager with experience in Corporate and International Taxation
to join our growing tax team.

You will be responsible for
managing and growing a portfolio of clients
comprised of multinational companies, privately owned businesses both domestic and foreign, as well as private equity funds.

You will provide
tax support
in relation to the day-to-day business of your clients, strategic tax advice in respect of special projects, including acquisitions, divestments merges and other reorganizations, as well as
tax compliance services
, while ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws and regulatory requirements.

You will be in constant connection with
tax and business developments
, and you will contribute to your, the teams and the company's progress and success.

What will you do:

• Manage and service to the highest standards the client portfolio entrusted to you and will have the responsibility and liberty to grow and develop it. You will participate in business development initiatives, including pitches, client presentations, and identifying opportunities for new product / service offerings.
• Advise clients on Corporate Income Tax, Local Taxes and cross-border tax implications for inbound and outbound businesses.
• You will collaborate with colleagues from other local teams such as Transfer Pricing and Indirect Tax, and with colleagues across the partnership in other jurisdictions when required.
• Provide timely and up-to-date tax advice and support in respect of day-to-day operations of your client, guiding the client team in understanding the applicable tax regulatory framework and practical implications, as well as implementation of tax solutions.
• You will be involved in M&A transactions in respect of structuring the sale / acquisition, performing Due Diligence and finding solutions for tax issues affecting the deals.
• Oversee and review the preparation of Corporate Income Tax returns, guide clients in respect of Local Taxes compliance, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
• Act as the primary point of contact for corporate clients on matters, become a knowledgeable and trusted advisor.
• Build, lead, coach, and develop your team of tax professionals and ensure high standards of client service, know-how and technical excellence.

Candidate profile:

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, ideally within a consulting, professional services or law firm.
• Strong understanding of domestic legislation on Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax and Local Taxes, application of Double Tax Treaties and EU legislation in the field of taxation.
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships and deliver projects within deadlines and budgets.
• Energetic and willing to progress, develop yourself and your team.
• Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities.
• A mindset for development of tax technology tools and streamlining processes is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English language.
