Company Overview

Our client is a leading international engineering and technical services group, supporting major infrastructure and renewable energy developments worldwide. They are currently engaged in the construction of a 50 MW grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) plant in Romania and are seeking a Quality Technician to support the project's construction and commissioning phases.

Role Overview

The Quality Technician will be responsible for supporting the site team in the implementation of the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures. Working closely with contractors, engineers, and the client's quality team, this person will help ensure that civil, electrical, and electromechanical works are executed according to project specifications, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the project's quality control plan, procedures, and inspection programs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and verifications of works (civil, electrical, electromechanical) to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
  • Monitor contractor quality activities and maintain proper documentation and records.
  • Assist in identifying non-conformities, raising NCRs, and following up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in quality-related meetings, inspections, and audits with contractors and client representatives.
  • Support the preparation of quality dossiers and handover documentation for testing, commissioning, and final acceptance.
  • Coordinate with HSE and construction teams to ensure quality control is fully integrated into daily site activities.

Candidate Profile

  • Prior experience in quality control or quality assurance roles on construction, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, inspection techniques, and quality documentation in PV, electrical, civil, or industrial construction settings.
  • Technical diploma or degree in engineering (civil, electrical, or mechanical) or related field preferred.
  • Good understanding of international standards and Romanian regulatory requirements.
  • Fluent English is required (project language); Romanian language skills are strongly preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and reporting skills.
