It allows users to organize and learn from a variety of sources, facilitating quick access to valuable concepts and advice on various topics. The company specializes in product development, mobile solutions, and education, offering an idea platform. The client has a great startup culture, with 25 colleagues at the moment. They place a strong emphasis on how technical challenges are solved, focusing on best programming practices.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a secure and high-performance API for both our web and mobile applications. You will also optimize and maintain our central databases to ensure they are always available and performing at their best. As the product and business evolve, youll build new features and systems to support our growth. Taking the initiative to improve software, particularly addressing pain points in your own experience as a developer, is a key aspect of this role. Youll also manage and review code from other team members, collaborating with them to prepare it for production. Additionally, you will work closely with frontend teams to troubleshoot issues and devise robust solutions.

1. 3+ Years of Experience in Backend Development: Proven experience in building performant backend systems, preferably using Python and Django.
2. Database Expertise: Strong experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, with a focus on Postgres.
3. Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, to manage infrastructure and deployments.
4. Passion for Problem Solving: Enthusiasm for tackling technical challenges and the ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly.
5. Strong Development Practices: Experience in setting and maintaining good development practices, ensuring consistency and high-quality standards across backend projects.
