Requirements and responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive data testing plans to validate financial data accuracy, integrity, and completeness within the Finance Pod.
  • Perform detailed testing of data warehouse (DW) systems, ensuring conformance with defined business rules, data models, and transformation logic.
  • Utilize strong SQL skills to query data, compare datasets, and identify discrepancies or anomalies across multiple financial data sources and systems.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts including ETL processes, data integration, schema validation, and metadata to ensure robust testing coverage.
  • Apply banking domain knowledge to assess the correctness and relevance of financial data in testing scenarios, with a focus on compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, finance teams, and auditors to define test requirements, document defects, and contribute to resolution strategies.
  • Automate repetitive test cases where feasible to enhance efficiency and consistency in testing outcomes.
  • Prepare clear test documentation, reports, and maintain audit trails for regulatory and compliance purposes.

What you'll bring

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data querying, validation, and manipulation.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, data lifecycle, and ETL workflows.
  • Prior experience in data testing or quality assurance roles within financial services or banking domain.
  • Knowledge of banking data structures, finance processes, and regulatory environment is essential.
  • Ability to analyze data flows, identify data quality issues, and work collaboratively in a proactive team environment.
  • Good communication skills to effectively document findings and interact with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented and methodical approach to ensure high data accuracy and audit-readiness.
