We are looking for an exceptional
Operational Project Manager
Logistics
to manage, implement and drive logistics projects to support the growth of the organization in a cost-effective manner while improving service and reliability.
Reporting to:
Operational & Logistics Director
Main responsibilities:
- Manage optimization projects reducing the lead time and improving the service level to customers as well as operation efficiency by waste elimination through Lean Projects;
- Develop project plans on basis of business requirements, arrangement of project team, project metrics design, KPI's and reporting;
- Support budget, personnel, and varied resources necessary to attain goals and objectives of program group;
- Identify, evaluate and define project needs and scope;
- Supervise and control project milestones, tasks, scope, timelines, expenses and risks impacting projects;
- Oversee and control logistic project progress;
- Support Operations Teams during critical project phases;
- Involve in resource allocation and coordination with different project team managers and leaders;
- Establish goals and objectives and provide instructions to respective team members;
- Head and stimulate projects and develop communication plan working with team members, stakeholders and project sponsors;
- Interface with key stakeholders in the logistics project management including customers, operations, procurement, and safety, to maintain policies /standards/ procedures;
- Manage risk and develop risk mitigation plan as well as strategy.
Requirements and skills:
- Master / Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Transportation or Business Administration;
- 10+ years of experience in international logistics supply chain preferably in logistics planning, 3PL or distribution company;
- Deep understanding of Supply Chain & Logistics operations, capable to see the bigger picture;
- Demonstrated Project management skills and proven leadership ability required;
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills required;
- Must be self-directed, able to interact effectively with all levels of management.
