What you can expect

As a Senior Backend Developer you will work closely with the team on a comprehensive Java-based product consisting of web front ends, back end APIs, and standalone microservices, using Azure cloud. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, development and operations of web applications for DKV products
• Developing web frontends for Java web applications and microservices for application servers and cloud environments
• Responsible for applications and porting to other infrastructures (primarily cloud environments)
• Conception and architecture creation based on current Java, JavaScript and cloud technologies as well as further development of the DKV software development process
• Part of scrum team
• Implementation of CI/CD pipelines
• Implementation of deployment scripts for containerized environment
•  Support in creating an end-to-end solution architecture

What makes you stand out

• General and in-depth experience with Java concepts are a must, in addition to strong knowledge of relational databases,
• APIs, and front-end technologies.
• You have several years of good Java knowledge including in-depth knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• You have good knowledge of creating REST APIs and microservices.
• You are confident in working with CI/CD pipelines, Git and databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Writing automated unit and integration tests is a matter of course for you.
• You have already gained experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools such as Loki and Grafana round off your profile.
• Nice to have: You are familiar with Apache Kafka.
• Your independent, systematic way of working is rounded off by your strong communicative and team-oriented personality.
• You have a structured approach, like to keep an overview, set the right priorities and are reliable.
• Instead of looking for problems, you find solutions and are customer-oriented.
• You are quick on the uptake and can break down complex issues into small work package
