Join a high-impact team tasked with migrating 12+ mission-critical software products (monolithic and microservices-based) from on-premise and third-party data centers to Microsoft Azure. You'll lead the full migration lifecycle—assessment, strategy, execution, and optimization—while maintaining 99.99% uptime for global financial services and enterprise clients.

Our client with its headquarters in Graz, Austria, is one of the world's leading mobility technology companies for development, simulation and testing in the automotive industry, and in other sectors such as rail, marine, and energy.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or focused Infrastructure/Operations role.
• Cloud Operations: Deep operational and troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Azure services (VMs, Networking, Load Balancers, Azure Monitor, etc.).
• Container Orchestration: Expert proficiency in managing, scaling, and securing production-grade Kubernetes clusters (preferably AKS).
• Operating Systems: Advanced skills in Linux system administration, including kernel-level troubleshooting, system hardening, and performance tuning.
• Scripting: Strong proficiency in at least one key operational scripting language (Bash and/or Python).
• IaC (Readiness): Familiarity with reading and diagnosing infrastructure code (e.g., Terraform) to understand the configuration of deployed systems.
• Monitoring: Hands-on experience implementing and managing modern observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor).

Job responsibilities

• Production Operations: Serve as a technical escalation point for critical production issues, leading effective incident response, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Infrastructure Management: Maintain, monitor, and scale our core infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Kubernetes Governance: Manage, monitor, and optimize production Kubernetes clusters (AKS). This includes cluster upgrades, security patching, resource tuning, and cost optimization.
• Automation: Develop, maintain, and enhance automation tools and scripts (Bash, Python) to eliminate manual operational work and improve system efficiency.
• Observability: Own and enhance the monitoring, logging, and alerting stack to ensure comprehensive visibility into system health, performance, and user experience.
• Linux Systems: Perform advanced Linux system administration, configuration management, and troubleshooting to maintain the underlying operating system health across all environments.
• Post-Incident Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) following major incidents, implementing long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
