Job Role
As a Senior Java Developer at Allianz, you will be integral to the software development lifecycle, participating in design, code implementation, testing, and support. You will develop software solutions that enhance our business applications and drive innovation within an Agile framework.

What Will You Do

• Comprehensive Feature Development and Issue Resolution: Engage in end-to-end feature development, addressing challenges and implementing robust solutions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Issue Resolution: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand product issues and resolve them according to the requirement.
• Continuous Learning and Technology Integration: Stay eager to learn new technologies and integrate them into feature development, fostering innovation.

You bring

• Language Skills: Good proficiency in German (B2) and English is required.
• Ability to develop and maintain complex enterprise-grade solutions.
• Passion about Software Design: Demonstrate a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
• We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.

You have

• Strong Knowledge of Java: Expertise in Java Core APIs and server-side Java concepts.
• Proficiency with Java version 17 or higher and Spring Boot.
• Experience implementing RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of web services, design principles, and design patterns.
• Proficiency with relational databases (SQL).

Nice To Have

• While not mandatory, any familiarity with DevOps practices and technologies like Jenkins, Git/GitHub, Maven, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker, is welcome.
• Familiarity any cloud provider, preferably AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, etc).
• Experience with Web application development (e.g.: Angular) is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with Spring Batch.
• Understanding of Linux Bash scripting.
• Experience with testing methodologies.
