About the company

Our customer is a private label producer of high-quality dry & wet pet food, biscuits and snacks.

Key responsibilities

  • Full commercial ownership of the CEE region, with primary focus on Romania (60–70% of production capacity)
  • Act as the key commercial interface between factories, headquarters, and regional customers
  • Build, manage, and grow relationships with key customers, distributors, and private label partners
  • Lead commercial negotiations and support contract development across the region
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities and route-to-market models in CEE
  • Support new factory ramp-up and commercialization activities in Romania
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and competition; translate insights into concrete sales actions
  • Maintain structured CRM reporting, sales forecasts, and pipeline management

Candidate profile

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in regional sales or business development (FMCG Retail is a must, preferred pet food)
  • Given the current growth phase, the position is designed for a hunter-driven sales profile, where new business acquisition (70%) clearly outweighs account development (30%).
  • Strong hands-on experience in Romania; exposure to Hungary or broader CEE is a strong advantage
  • Proven track record of working closely with manufacturing or supply chain teams
  • Solid B2B background (retail chains, distributors, private label customers)
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Ability to operate as a regional owner – independent, accountable, and proactive
  • Very good command of English (B2+); German or regional languages are an asset
  • Willingness to travel frequently across CEE region
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; confident user of Excel and PowerPoint
