Role Overview
We are looking for a
Test
Automation Specialist
to be an instrumental part of delivering a transformational automation program across the FanDuel Group. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate, curious candidate to join a fast-moving team and shape the future of automation at FanDuel.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and execute test cases across the full automation lifecycle, including module, integration, system, and regression testing for RPA and AI-based workflows.
• Validate test coverage and quality gates, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements defined by automation developers and business analysts.
• Create, manage, and maintain test data to support consistent and repeatable validation of automation processes.
• Document and track defects, providing detailed feedback to developers and analysts to drive rapid resolution and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with automation engineers, business analysts, solution architects, and process owners to confirm that automations meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support release management and deployment readiness, participating in UAT and providing risk assessments for production rollouts.
• Contribute to test strategy evolution, helping mature our automation testing framework through reusable assets, test automation, and data-driven validation.
• Promote best practices in test documentation, traceability, and governance, ensuring all deliverables meet audit and compliance standards.
• Leverage insights from testing to suggest process improvements, identify automation opportunities, and enhance solution resilience.
• Stay current with emerging tools and methodologies in intelligent automation testing, such as AI-driven test automation and performance testing for digital workers.

Focus Areas

• Advanced testing of RPA and AI/ML-powered automation solutions.
• Strengthening automation quality, reliability, and maintainability across multiple business domains.
• Supporting continuous improvement of the automation delivery framework.

Skills

• Proficiency with one or more RPA platforms (UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, or similar).
• Exposure to testing frameworks or scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, VBScript) preferred.
• Understanding of test automation tools and techniques for RPA and API testing.
• Knowledge of process orchestration, queues, and exception handling within automation tools.
• Strong attention to detail with a structured approach to testing and validation.
• Ability to analyze process flows and identify test scenarios that ensure end-to-end coverage.
• Effective communication and documentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to partner with technical and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and raise risks early.
• Curiosity and interest in emerging intelligent automation trends (AI/ML testing, cognitive automation).
• Commitment to continuous learning and process excellence.

Experience Level

• 2–4 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or intelligent automation projects.
• Experience in automation delivery environments with agile or iterative frameworks is highly desirable.
