AI Engineer Lead

About the role:

We are looking for an AI Engineer Lead will play a crucial role in managing AI customer projects, developing our AI strategy, building our AI capabilities, and ensuring the successful integration of AI technologies into our projects to drive innovation and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the end-to-end management of AI customer projects, from initial scoping and proposal through to delivery and post-implementation support, ensuring high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction

Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with our company's vision and goals

Build, manage, and mentor a team of AI professionals, including data scientists and machine learning engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Lead the research, development, and deployment of AI solutions across our projects, ensuring they meet our standards for quality and innovation

Collaborate closely with other departments to identify and implement AI-driven solutions that enhance our products and services

Navigate ethical considerations and ensure compliance with AI regulations and standards

Represent our company in AI-related forums, conferences, and discussions

What are we looking for:

Strong background in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field (MSc/PhD preferred)

5+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or AI project delivery

Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks

Solid understanding of ML algorithms (tree-based, linear models, clustering, anomaly detection, recommendation systems, etc.)

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Strong organizational skills and experience working with cross-functional teams

Exposure to banking/financial services data is a strong advantage

Nice-to-have:

Experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance service offerings

Exposure to MLOps practices (MLflow, CI/CD for ML) being a strong advantage

Experience developing or deploying AI models
