Who we are

• We're an early-stage VC-backed start-up that has raised $9M to date from VC funds and private investors. Founded in 2019 by Florin Tufan, Mihai Vinaga and Sorina Vlasceanu, we're currently a team of ±50 driven individuals, mostly engineers and technical people, investing our time to solve problems that haven't been solved before anywhere in the world.

What we do

• We're building the single source of truth for company data across all industries. We process billions of webpages and petabytes of data every week, then apply several AI models to break them down into usable business data, developing a deep understanding of the elements that define a business.
• This results in tens of data points associated with each company, everything from company description, alternative names, tags, business category & industry, office and retail locations, risks, size, classifications, products, certifications, and beyond.

What you'll do

• You will work within our Engineering team to design and scale systems that extract structured data from the unstructured web. Your work directly impacts the coverage and depth of our datasets, powering product intelligence and automation at scale.
• You'll identify meaningful improvements as part of the crawling system, implement robust retry mechanisms, and ensure that our distributed infrastructure is resilient, observable, and scalable under real-world conditions.

Your responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust distributed crawling infrastructure
• Implement large-scale data extraction pipelines that handle the vast, unstructured web
• Optimize for throughput, latency, and resource consumption across thousands of concurrent agents
• Ensure resilient and respectful data extraction using adaptive request strategies
• Instrument and monitor crawling agents using structured logs, metrics and tracing systems
• Identify crawling inefficiencies or breakages and proactively improve coverage, stability and speed

Our Qualifications

• Before building Veridion (formerly Soleadify), our 3 co-founders (Sorina, Florin and Mihai) worked at companies that impacted billions of users, having been exposed to diverse areas of technology that span from full stack web development to Big Data and robust Cloud infrastructure, as well as their product and business development proficiency.
• This broad mix, critical to a true data-driven mindset, has been imprinted in our company's culture since day one. And it massively steps up our game as engineers.

Your Qualifications

• Strong programming skills (you'll work with + Typescript, Scala)
• Good understanding of building resilient, observable distributed systems or large-scale web scrapers/crawlers
• Experience with Puppeteer, Playwright, and HTML parsers
• Knowledge of performance profiling, system bottlenecks, and resource constraints in long-running agents
• Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Experience with event streaming (e.g., Kafka) / message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ) is a plus
