In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provides assistance to Emerson's in-house attorney(s) to ensure the company's legal strategies are accomplished in an efficient and effective manner as assigned, including: management of the legal entity management system of Emerson subsidiaries worldwide as well as their corporate governance documentation (e.g. minute books, draft resolutions and bylaws, incorporation documents, restructuring documents, powers of attorney, etc.), preparing materials for and supporting the Annual Shareholders' Meeting  and overseeing corporate structure charts, subsidiary lists, joint venture and affiliates lists, as well as historical records.
  • Preparation of filings and memos/communications and ensuring that the corporate documents and regulatory filings of all entities and branch offices are kept up to date;
  • Assisting with corporate processes such as incorporation of new legal entities, liquidation of legal entities or post-acquisition integration of legal entities;
  • Providing focused Legal Research in relation to corporate policies, precedents and other processes and methodologies aimed at improving the efficient functioning of the legal entities;
  • Drafting documents for the appointment and resignation of directors and amending authorized signatories on bank accounts, supervises these processes and where the case work independently to implement the changes;
  • Obtains and distributes legal correspondence internally and externally, including communication with outside counsel and drafting legal documentation; ensuring decisions made are communicated to the relevant company collaborators;
  • Collaborate with members of the Legal team and other Emerson collaborators to make sure the team follows administrative requirements and assists with analysis and compiling data for reports;
  • Maintains files, relevant databases, and general work processes to improve the efficiency and productivity of Emerson Legal team from governance point of view;
  • Organizes meetings and outreach events with outside counsel and other key contacts and other tasks as assigned;
  • Advances strategic improvement opportunities and other tasks as assigned.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A min of 1 year of relevant work experience in Compliance, Legal, or Corporate Governance and University Law Degree; 
  • Advanced MS Office skills;
  • Excellent oral and written English (C1);
  • Strong organizational skills, reliable and good attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Other languages (German, Hungarian, Italian, etc.) are an advantage.
