This is an excellent opportunity with Projecting Group working directly with one of our global financial services clients.

We are currently seeking a skilled Big Data Developer to join a dynamic technology team focused on regulatory and compliance solutions. You will work on a range of strategic initiatives, contributing to the design and development of data-driven applications that meet high-performance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle business application development: from problem analysis and technical design to development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver efficient technological solutions.
  • Conducting code optimisation, threat modelling, and static analysis using tools such as Sonar.
  • Managing documentation and project tracking throughout all phases using Agile methodologies.
  • Performing unit, integration, and regression testing.
  • Supporting production environments and planned interventions.
  • Overseeing the promotion and release of updates through established pipelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Big Data Developer.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, or a related field.

Required Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with GitHub
  • Strong knowledge of Java / JavaScript
  • Experience with ETL processes
  • Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle – PLSQL, PostgreSQL)

Nice to Have

  • Microservices (e.g. Spring Boot), OpenShift
  • Apache Flink, Drools
  • Kafka, DevOps practices
  • Cloud and containerised environments (S3, Elastic, Angular)
  • Agile project management tools: Jira, Confluence
  • Experience in regulatory or compliance-related data systems is a plus
  • A strategic mindset and innovative approach to problem-solving
