PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Our customer is a world-leading provider of transport solutions, driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system and creating a world of mobility that is better for business, society, and the environment.

The team that you will be part of collects data for all connected vehicles and aggregates it so that drivers can evaluate their own driving behaviors and skills.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop data solutions that drive business value.
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining analytical data solutions using Snowflake, collaborating with data analysts and data scientists.
  • Designing and implementing data quality and governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability in the context of a data mesh architecture.

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing, building, and leading large-scale data solutions.
  • Deep expertise in data modeling and architecture patterns, including star/snowflake schemas, data vault, data mesh, and data product design.
  • Strong SQL skills and extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance optimization, and secure data sharing.
  • Advanced Python proficiency for developing reusable data transformation frameworks and orchestration utilities.
  • Skilled in implementing modular, testable transformations using dbt.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, including S3, Lambda, ECS, ECR, CDK, Kinesis, and IAM.
  • Comfortable operating within data mesh architectures, building domain-oriented data products, and enabling inter-domain data sharing.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Proven experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating complex, production-grade data workflows.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and observability, with exposure to tools like Collibra and Witboost.
