Role Description:

Do you have a passion for technology? Do you want to learn and make a difference in financial markets infrastructure? We're building a new engineering team, and we're looking for passionate, hands-on technologists to help us lead the way.

CDSClear IT is the team behind the technology powering CDSClear – a critical clearing service within the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Web Developer to design, develop and test applications for the CDSClear Clearing Service. The role is part of the build out of a new team based in Bucharest. The new team will collaborate with colleagues in London and Paris to deliver innovative solutions within a new, external-facing digital platform using Java, React and Infrastructure-as-Code on AWS. You will learn how to deliver in a commercially focussed financial services business in a phase of expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership within the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, using Agile or traditional methodologies as needed.
• Build out Trade Management functionality within CDSClear's new digital portal using micro-front end architecture.
• Lead the design and development of Web Application components of applications implemented in Java and running on AWS.
• Collaborate with global teams to understand requirements, complete application design and deliver high quality, well tested solutions.
• Champion automation, from testing to deployment, to ensure speed and quality.
• Work within a regulated financial environment, with a solid focus on cybersecurity and production controls.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

• Expert level frontend (React & UI/UX) technology skills - e.g. , Typescript, HTML5, CSS3 etc.
• Practical experience with Testing frameworks (e.g. Cypress) for automated testing of Web Applications.
• UX/UI Design skills, able to understand business requirements and collaborate to deliver highly usable application designs.
• Wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma)
• Appreciation of regional differences, accessibility standards and cross-browser/cross-device considerations.
• Integration experience with secure RESTFul APIs.

• Understanding of Java-based backend services (Spring Boot, microservices architecture)
