Let's talk about the role

The Tech & Data department, with around 200 employees across the globe, provides products, services, and support to all Company Group worldwide. Its current priorities are to implement the new Target Operating Model, supported by an ambitious multi-year internalization plan, and to deliver innovative products and services to Company's clients.

As Production Engineer you will support company's strategic and operating objectives through administration, management and support of software Products and Information System components.

What will you do?

• Monitor Company Group's information systems and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Use Nagios XI and Absyss Visual Target Operating Model for batch scheduling and service monitoring.
• Manage daily operational processes, such as backups, while ensuring disaster recovery readiness.
• Create and manage incident tickets in ServiceNow, responding to alerts according to established procedures.
• Escalate incidents to higher support levels when required.
• Perform monthly infrastructure patching, ensuring services restart correctly and in the proper sequence.
• Maintain, configure, deploy, and plan changes for Company products.
• Provide technical expertise, guidance, and strategic recommendations to ensure technical solutions align with business needs, strategic objectives, and Company standards.
• Troubleshoot issues and participate in multi-discipline war rooms to resolve incidents as an L2 or L3 expert when required.
• Provide 24/7 on-call L2/L3 support for production applications and services on a weekly rotating basis.
• Support IT functional teams in developing processes to meet business requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in monitoring, scheduling, operational tools, and related documentation.
• Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and scheduling capabilities.
• Share expertise and train peers in your area of specialization.
• Ensure adequate controls and reporting to meet regulatory and global governance requirements.
• Ensure adherence to IT technical policies, standards, and security practices.

What are we looking for?

• 2+ years of experience supporting IT Production systems.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
• Proven expertise with administration, support and troubleshooting of enterprise applications.
• Expertise with the following (or similar) technologies:
• Operating Systems (Linux, Windows) & Networking (DNS, routing, etc…)
• Application Servers and databases (Tomcat, nginx…)
• Authentication services
• Azure
• Containerization and Kubernetes (AKS, ACA)
• Azure Service Bus (ASB)
• DataBricks
• Hands on experience with Monitoring, Patching, Backup, Process Automation, Disaster Recovery, High Availability.
• Cloud and Security expertise and observability experience is desirable.
• Client-oriented with understanding of users' practices.
• Strong analytical and communications skills.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse stakeholders within Company IT.
• Comfortable to work on multiple projects in a multi-cultural environment.

Your Background

• Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related analytical field; or equivalent experience.
