Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join the team developing Autobahn, Deutsche Bank's digital platform for Corporate and Investment Banking. The platform provides core business services and APIs to internal and external users across multiple channels, including web and desktop.

You will work as part of a global engineering team focused on building and maintaining backend services that support various applications and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services for the Autobahn platform
  • Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with QA, BA, and UX teams to clarify and implement requirements
  • Work closely with other engineering teams using the same framework and APIs
  • Ensure performance and reliability through proper use of multithreading and modern backend design principles

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Java (Java 8 or newer)
  • Solid understanding of multithreading, data structures, and algorithms
  • Experience with REST API design and development
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and CI/CD practices
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in distributed teams
