Job Title: COBOL Developer

We are seeking an experienced COBOL developer to join our team.

Job Description

In this role, your primary focus will be to maintain service continuity, uphold the quality of assigned applications, and ensure their smooth functionality and performance. Key responsibilities include addressing and resolving incidents, investigating and troubleshooting issues, managing minor change requests, delivering high-quality user support, responding to service requests, achieving application-specific goals such as uptime and timely resolution of incidents, facilitating seamless data exchange between various applications, updating documentation to reflect every modification accurately, recommending and executing measures to streamline applications, enhance processes, and introduce automation, and adhering to and enforcing established standards, protocols, and security guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A graduate in a technical field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with COBOL programming.
  • Proficient in working with Mainframe environments, JCL, and DB2.
  • A proven track record in application support roles.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities.
  • A customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to take initiative and work proactively.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English is mandatory.
