AVL Romania SRL offers a job in Romania as a Development Engineer responsible for the development of specific products within dedicated development teams, adhering to defined development processes. The job holder defines and aligns product requirements, defines technical solutions, coordinates integration, calibration, verification, and validation.

Development Engineer Key Responsibilities
  • Execute system development by understanding related requirements, defining individual technological solutions, and coordinating integration, calibration, verification, and validation results.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Work within AVL reference project organization for product development in the appropriate role.
  • Coordinate collaboration between customers, engineering domains, skill areas, and suppliers.
  • Serve as the technical lead within a system development project, responsible for a specific development domain or the overall system.
  • Document and present development solutions and test results to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to project planning and participate in project meetings.
  • Coordinate and execute performance analysis to optimize vehicle systems.
  • Support project time-planning and generation of deliverables.
  • Maintain documentation of system descriptions within the development toolchain.
  • Understand and manage integration and validation plans.
  • Define test cases and test sequences according to the verification plan.
  • Monitor test execution results and report deviations from the plan.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for milestone and quality gate meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or other related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one vehicle key element and key vehicle function.
  • Basic knowledge on several vehicle elements.
  • Knowledge of modern development processes and methods.
  • Management of lifecycle systems engineering items and work-products within the systems engineering tool chain.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
