Quality Assurance Transformation Specialist

We are seeking a Quality Engineering Lead to support a UK-based client in leading a full QA transformation initiative. The selected consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing core QE processes including defect management, defining test KPIs and metrics, and developing advanced JIRA dashboarding solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Define and enforce defect SLAs and collaborate closely with development teams
- Establish and manage Defect Management Governance processes including triage, escalation paths, and reporting workflows
- Define and monitor testing KPIs and metrics (e.g., defect aging, test coverage) aligned with business goals using JIRA dashboards
- Minimum 5 years experience in Quality Engineering / Test Leadership, preferably in travel or fast-paced industries
- Proven track record in manual, automation, and integration testing
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery models
- Advanced expertise in JIRA, test management tools, and dashboarding platforms like Power BI or Tableau
- Experience in SLA-driven defect management, KPI definition, and JIRA migration
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and RCA practices
