You will work on a long-term project for the leading global investment bank with a strong and profitable private clients franchise.
The Windows Engineering team, within the ‘End User Computing’ division, is responsible for providing the necessary operating system platform for all staff at our client organization. The team loosely follows the Spotify Agile model and is structured into delivery teams (squads) that are each accountable for a specific technology stack.
The Windows Engineer is responsible for designing, documenting, and delivering operating system builds, supported hardware, configurations, and applications in a centralized and automated way.
We expect our engineers to be imaginative solution creators, not just task executors. You will be presented with problems and expected to deliver well-thought-out solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build deployment solutions for our Windows physical and virtual platforms
- Define and create automated and manual testing procedures
- Analyze user requirements
- Create various type of documents (design and architecture, KB articles for L2 and L1 teams)
- Act as L3 for production issues
- Liaise with peers in other infrastructure teams to ensure designs fit their needs
- Constantly collaborate with product and operations team to ensure a smooth and clean transition from
- Engineering to Production in agreement with the requirements.
- Working Knowledge on SDLC platforms (Jira, JAMA) and Agile methodology
We are happy to hear from you if you have:
- Desktop Engineering experience (design, create, deploy, troubleshoot):
- Windows 10 and Windows 11 physical and virtual client builds
- Windows OS images using technologies like MDT, SCCM / MECM
- Driver management, BIO
- Automate patch management (with SCCM/MECM)
- Core Windows technologies including but not limited to:
- GPO management, Roaming profiles, Offline files, Folder redirection.
- Admin scripting: PowerShell, VBScript and Batch files
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in using various Cloud virtualization providers (AWS, GCP, OCI etc.)
- Infrastructure knowledge: AD, DFS, DNS, WAN, SAN and DHCP
- Windows Defender, Bitlocker, and related security configurations
- Practical working experience of major OS migrations
- Experience with defining end user hardware products
- Avecto DefendPoint infrastructure and/or privileged access management
