Smarttech247 Cybersecurity is looking for Level 1 Cybersecurity Analysts

Responsibilities:
SOC Analysts at Smarttech are responsible for monitoring and maintaining systems used in our security program. This includes the following of procedures to triage and investigate security alerts and escalate issues as necessary.

SOC Analysts have opportunities for mentorship from more senior members of the team, and involvement with maturing procedures, evaluating new security technologies, incident response, and penetration testing.


  • Monitor Customer security systems
  • Working with clients to help remediate and answer questions regarding their security environment.
  • Will participate in client calls if necessary
  • Have to make recommendations to clients to improve security posture.
  • Use SIEM technologies and other native tools to perform the monitoring of security events
  • Perform analysis on logs produced by network devices utilized within the SOC such as firewalls, content filtering, Syslog from various sources/devices, assorted Intrusion Detection capabilities, substantiating vulnerability scanner results, directory services, DHCP logs, Secure Email Gateway logs
  • Provide security events analysis and support to include identifying potential threats, anomalies, and infections, documenting findings, providing recommendations within the SOC's incident management system, performing triage of incoming security events, performing preliminary and secondary analysis of those events, and validating the events
  • Perform technical analyses, such as analysis of malicious code, network traffic, web log data, cyber intelligence, hard drives, and other storage and forensics media, to control exploitative activity.

English experienced userReally good knowledge of all Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, IOS...)Really good knowledge of Networking Security Tools and DevicesGood research skills and impressive attention Passionate to threat hunting and investigatingInnovative mind.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Stress resistant and able to manage multiple incidents and tasks at the same time.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent team player.
Ability to effectively interact with all organizational stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Prior internship, classwork, or previous work experience in information security and/or related areas, along with a strong appetite to apply such experience in a practical setting
  • 0 - 3 years of professional experience.
