Our clients main focus is on materials handling and conveyor technology for the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors. As a general contractor, they take care of the entire process, from initial consultation to the services after commissioning.

The Position

The Assembly Manager will be in charge of planning and supervising the assembly process with manpower and machine deployment in consultation with the Project Manager.

It will be required the presence on site in the country where the assigned project takes place.

Main Responsibilities

  • Daily monitoring of assembly progress on the basis of the specified schedule
  • Carrying out special shifts, assignments on non-working days, as well as overtime in his area, within the framework of the applicable regulations, if necessary
  • Distribution of work to the assembly group leaders and external personnel as well as cooperation in the respective assembly activities
  • Checking deliveries for assembly with regard to completeness and quality
  • Requesting auxiliary and operating materials for assembly from the project management
  • Requesting tools, materials supplies and spare parts
  • Determining the procedure in the event of technical problems and deviations from standard conveyor technology in consultation with project management
  • Setting priorities for the assembly of the individual conveyor technology groups
  • Carrying out rework
  • Carrying out quality inspections and factory acceptance tests
  • Drawing up qualification requirements for assembly personnel
  • Requirements and checking the designs for correctness and completeness, supplementing them if necessary and ensuring that the design is suitable for assembly
  • The assembly workplaces are equipped as far as possible in accordance with current safety regulations
  • Monitoring the condition of machinery, plant and equipment and compliance with maintenance intervals and, if necessary, submitting these items for inspection
  • Checking working hours, safety, accident prevention and environmental regulations
  • Factual accuracy of time sheets of own and external personnel
  • If requested by the customer, participation in meetings with the client before and during ongoing projects
Reporting line
The Assembly Manager will report to the Head of Project Management and Installations based in Germany.
