What you will enjoy doing

The job holder manages all activities associated with the procurement of designated products and services.

  • Review market conditions in an effort to drive performance improvement in the areas of pricing, payment terms, quality, delivery and flexibility for the categories allocated (direct & indirect spend)
  • Issue all the necessary documentation (RFQ, RFQS, RFIS) in view of tender request, in order to identify the optimal supply channels for specific products, services
  • Maintain strong relations with existing suppliers/vendors. Evaluate potential new sources of supply
  • Analyze historical data and forecast in an effort to institute and promote cost reduction & optimization programs
  • Negotiate & close the contracts with the suppliers, with up front validation of Country Procurement Manager
  • Understand departmental requirements with regards to purchasing and align them with the line manager
  • Maintain supplier/vendor price lists
  • Review requisitions and approved purchase orders within D365 system
  • Resolve discrepancies or issues relating to product quality, delivery or service. Requires supplier root cause analysis and corrective action to eliminate future occurrences.
  • Monitor and evaluate suppliers performances in order to assure the conformity with ALPLA evaluation procedures
  • Provide data for ALPLA database, new items, suppliers, price list, order fulfilled term according to internal procedures


What makes you great
  • University degree in Engineering/Business or equivalent with 3+ years of procurement experience (advantage within a manufacturing company)
  • A strong understanding of business law, country regulations for import, raw material sourcing, procurement of technical parts, and outstanding negotiation skills
  • Negotiation skills and good communication skills with people inside and outside the organization are required
  • Ability to organize diverse information, analyse and solve disputes
  • Strong understanding of factors that influence manufacturing, cost and quality of operations is preferred
  • English language (advanced/ speaking, written)
