Summary of the position of Operations Manager
Responsible for the activities at site comply with company and project targets in regards to safety, quality, delivery, cost and cash. In case of deviations then responsible for developing and implementing countermeasures whilst providing transparency for early warnings for escalation and reporting.
Development of the production unit, hereunder development of KPIs and performance management. Responsible for the site setup planning, mobilization and demobilization in accordance with requirements.
Lead the implementation of local strategic plan(s). This includes supporting the budgeting and strategic planning process.
Lead monthly Site reviews with focus on performance and development. Facilitate weekly-, monthly production / operations-meeting hereunder capacity planning. Ensure the planning and coordination of all site activities and implement a regular reporting regime.
People Manager with ability to operate and thrive in complex, cross-functional teams, as the success of this role relies on the ability to inspire and influence a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues. Provide competent local personnel for project teams, hereunder engineering, logistics, technic and production in coordination with functional- and line managers.

You will be responsible for:
• Leading, planning, organizing, and running day-to-day production operations to exceed our customers’ expectations;
• Strong focus on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Inventory;
• Increasing our competitive advantage by constantly planning and implementing productivity measures to reach the plant’s budget in terms of productivity and profitability targets;
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results;
• Process optimizations, procedures, and instruction updates in alignment with the Quality & Technical departments;
• Plan and implement needed investments to improve productivity and provide production capacity consistent with sales volume objectives and support manufacturing strategy;
• Develop new leaders and increase employee competency level. Establish and maintain a professional relationship with all employees’ representative levels;
• Replace the Plant Manager when missing with the opportunity to be his successor in the future;
• Align and have a strong collaboration with colleagues abroad;
• Act as an entrepreneur – reflected in your actions and your daily contact with our Customers;

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
• Bachelor or master’s degree, typically within Industrial/Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Production Manager/ Area Manager/ Segment Leader/ UAP Manager/ Operational Manager
• Experience with High Volume – High-Mix serial production
• Strong process mindset with Lean manufacturing experience
• Experience with CNC machines, automation, metal manufacturing, welding, and painting processes would be an advantage
